Huck's Preschool class had a song basket this past year with simple scraps of paper in a basket. I thought Jemima would like the idea and combined it with this popsicle stick project for things to do in the summer.
The kids helped decorate the sticks, think up the songs and decorate the lid, while I did the writing and wrote on the jar with window markers.
Jemima, and most preschoolers, love to sing songs but sometimes I am just too tired and at a loss to think of what to sing. And sometimes I just forget to doit as an activity. Now, when she wants to sing, she runs to get the jar and brings it to me.
My two-and-a-half year old's favorite song right now?
Where is Pointer?
An oldie but a goodie.
